Fortunately, today, teenagers have options to start their filmmaking careers. The new smartphone models come with a great camera. They can purchase a small tripod or gimbal and a small light. They can create a small portfolio. However, how do they get into the industry once they have a portfolio?

A teenager can sign up for acting classes at his high school. You don’t have to be a cameraman to make it into the film industry, you can also be an actor. Acting skills can be developed early on without the need of having expensive gear. Signing up for an acting class or for an acting workshop will not only help this teenager develop performance skills, but also make helpful contacts who can guide him further in his future career.

They can use their creativity and phones to create online content. You could ask one of your teachers to help you. There is no easy way in any career. There is no shortcut. A teacher can show you where to take your first steps and you take those steps. Then you ask someone else for advice, and that person will also show you another step that you will need to take. Eventually, all those steps will bring you to your destination.
