Magazine Home Forums Drone Pilot Forum 3 awesome videos that you can shoot this summer with your Drone

    • The nice weather during the summer season holds a great opportunity for video makers who wish to shoot amazing scenes with their drones. Here are 5 ideas of videos that you can shoot using your drone:

      1. Agriculture Land

An agriculture land is beautiful, especially during the summer, when the crops are growing. If you are not an experienced user with your drone, it is a great opportunity to practice. All you need to do is to take a trip to the country side and start filming!

Here is an example of how you can use your drone to film over crops and fields:

      2. Beach

One of the most common places to visit during the summer is the beach. Take your drone with you and start taking footage of the beautiful sea (or ocean), the sand, the beach, the palm trees etc.
Make sure to go early in the morning, to avoid flying your drone over people.

      3. Lakes

Another great inspiration for aerial footage are lakes and forests. You can easily fly your drone over lakes and forests and capture the magic of Mother Nature. Lakes can’t be only found in the forest, sometimes, they are near your local park, which makes it even more accessible.

Where are you planning to fly your drone this summer?

    • It is a great idea to fly your drone over agricultural land! You don’t have to worry about losing your drone or crashing it in a tree, you get really nice videos and you also learn how to use it better!

    • The “Agricultural land” sample looks amazing! I never knew that you can shoot such videos in a crop field…very nice!

    • For some, it can take time to learn to fly their drone. For others, it is a natural talent. Regardless the case, the safest option is to lift it somewhere with little dangers of incidents, at least, until you get used to all the settings and flying options that you have. The good news is that some drones, such as the DJI Mini, which is more affordable than others, comes with built in AI that helps you lift it off and land it safely.

Even with the AI, it would be a great idea to first fly it over a field, be it a flower field, or a crop field. I think you should also ask for permission from the field owner, too, before doing so. 🙂

      • You are right, it is always a good idea to ask for permission when filming/taking photos on a private property. And a crop field is a private property

    • You can also take pictures of a model but you need to be careful and maintain a safe distance with your drone

      Great suggestions, Maura!

    • You can also use the drone to take pictures on all these locations. The results are breathtaking.

      • You are right!

I am following a few content creators on Instagram and I saw they posted many pictures taken with drones. Some of them looked like taken from a fairytale!
