Drones in filmmaking

Dones have claimed a place in filmmaking and have ushered in a new lighter-weight and lower-cost solution that replaces crane and aerial shots. You don’t need a helicopter to get a great shot of a building or high-altitude birds-eye shots. I welcome all to comment and help us all understand drone capabilities and requirements for lic and other interesting topics. Also, please post some of your drone videos if you have them.

Drones have opened the door for many new possibilities because, as you said, you do no longer need a helicopter to have great shots! They have also become more accessible in terms of prices and I expect many students to start using them for their projects as well!
