    • It’s great to see a discussion about the safety measures involved in performing stunts on film sets. As someone who has created stunts for news segments in Romania in the 90s, I can attest to the importance of collaboration between stunt performers and the film crew.

The first step in ensuring a safe and effective stunt is to have a clear understanding of the stunt’s goals and limitations. This requires communication and collaboration between the director, stunt coordinator, and other members of the film crew. As a stunt performer, it’s important to ask questions and voice any concerns you may have before the stunt is executed.

In my experience, rehearsals and test runs are also crucial to ensuring a safe and successful stunt. Before filming begins, the stunt performers should practice the stunt with safety equipment and any necessary adjustments should be made. This not only helps to refine the performance but also allows the stunt performers to become comfortable with the environment in which the stunt will take place.

Another important aspect of stunt collaboration is the use of proper equipment. Stunt performers should have access to high-quality protective gear and harnesses, and the film crew should make sure that all equipment is inspected and maintained regularly.

It is also important to have a plan in place in case something goes wrong during the stunt. Every member of the film crew should be aware of their roles and responsibilities in the event of an emergency.

I hope my experience and tips can be useful in this discussion. Safety should always be the top priority in any stunt, and with proper collaboration and preparation, we can ensure that every stunt is both thrilling and safe.

    • I need this but for audio recordings. I record many audio interviews and it takes like forever to write them down. I think I will start a post about this, maybe someone has a suggestion to help me out.

    • Not a student but I once filmed a short documentary using only two Huawei phones, one tripod and one gimbal. And a lav.

    • It’s good that the pandemic is finally over and people can finally attend events once again. For those who are in New York at the moment, NAB is a great event to go to.

    • I can relate to the part where he is talking about the importance of errors and mistakes in filmmaking. Some of the best results are indeed, made by mistake.

    • He is the person that takes the photos of the people working on set: actors, camera guys, gaffer etc.

    • You need to know the people who are shooting films in your area. For starters, there are usually a few groups of people who go to the same places in town or who are a part of a club. Try finding them and maybe join them.

    • AI seems to be the secret ingredient of apps these days. Hopefully, I will find one app that has support for Romanian language from the list that you provided. Thanks!

    • It was a good idea to film a cameo as well
