The Cinema Audio Society announces its 11th Student Recognition Award finalists today.
The finalists are invited to attend the 61st CAS Awards in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton on February 22, 2025, where the recipient of the CAS Student Recognition Award will be revealed and receive a check for $5000 and a gift bag from industry leading companies.
“This year’s finalists embody the incredible creativity and innovation shaping the future of our industry,” said CAS President Peter Kurland. “The Cinema Audio Society takes great pride in celebrating these talented students and the remarkable contributions they are already making. Their achievements and work inspire us and reaffirm the bright future of our craft. We extend heartfelt thanks to committee chair Sherry Klein CAS and the incredible team of judges for their dedication to celebrating and uplifting our next generation of talent.”

The CAS Awards will also honor multi-award-winning re-recording sound mixer Tod A. Maitland CAS with the prestigious Career Achievement Award and esteemed director, Denis Villeneuve with the CAS Filmmaker Award at the 61st CAS Awards ceremony.
