Join us tonight for a special event at The New School in New York: The RUFF CUTS screening for the Fall 2023 Semester. “RUFF CUTS” is an exclusive showcase for the talented Media Studies students and alumni to present and discuss their works-in-progress.
This exciting RUFF CUTS event is scheduled for this evening, Friday, October 6, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and will be held at Wollman Hall, located at 65 West 11th Street. We are honored to have Kim Welch, Publisher, and Editor of Student Filmmakers Magazine, as a featured presenter at this event, and we thank the RUFF CUTS team for the invitation.

RUFF CUTS serves as the primary screening platform for The New School’s School of Media Studies, where students and alumni showcase their films and receive valuable feedback from their peers and professors. This event attracts a diverse audience, including professors, alumni, festival programmers, industry experts, and students from across the university. It provides an incredible opportunity to present your work-in-progress films, gain insights from your peers and mentors, and connect with fellow filmmakers in our community. RUFF CUTS typically features 7 to 10 films on a first-come, first-served basis.
Light snacks and refreshments for your enjoyment will be provided.
