Social Media and the Business of Live Television

If you aren’t up to speed on social media, then you may be missing your share of the audience. This session will reflect best practices for how social media is impacting the business of live television. Advertising is critical to the business and advertisers want engaged, repeat viewers. Sales directors and media buyers agree that live television attracts a larger view base than other genres. Social media allows live content to be “found” by viewers. These viewers loyally watch news, sports and entertainment awards specials. By using social media, viewers now more readily find the programs they choose to watch and remain engaged as part of a larger cyber-community of other viewers. The result is that social media is the most useful “tune-in” tactic for securing a base for revenue potential. Be sure to attend this Super Session to learn more.
